General Information: Health Data Specialist II

Work hours: 35hours per week,lunch period: 1 hour (unpaid)

Duties/Skills

• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience in data management/manipulation.
• Coordinate and analyze data and clinical status information of patients.
• Document all critical work processes with clear policies and procedures.
• Detailed-oriented, good reading comprehension skills, flexible and ability to manage multiple projects at once, experience with Microsoft OneDrive, Teams, Excel, and Word.
• Participate in the organization of quality improvement meeting data including morbidity and mortality, engraftment, positive microbial culture results, and continuous resource management.
• Review medical records for data collection and analysis to meet requirements for necessary forms, complete data entry, initiate and monitor compliance, and maintain applicable spreadsheets, research forms, and consents.
• Abstract clinical information for entry into internal and external transplant databases as instructed and the data mining of this information as requested.
• Create tables, queries, forms, and reports in Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and Excel, as needed.

Desired

• SAS or other stat software (as a plus).
• Experience with Institutional Review Board (IRB) and research a plus, but not required,
